Dr. Alicia Tezel is a highly accomplished and dedicated pediatrician with over 30 years of experience in pediatric medicine. Board Certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Tezel spent more than 14 years working in a pediatric emergency room, where she provided life-saving care to countless children. In 2006, she brought her extensive expertise to Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care, serving as the Medical Director and playing a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s clinical standards.
Dr. Tezel earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and has been a leader in the pediatric medical community throughout her career. She served as President of the San Antonio Pediatric Society and as Chair of the Bexar County Child Fatality Review Board, showcasing her commitment to improving child health and safety in the region.
In 2024, Dr. Tezel retired as the Chief Medical Officer of Little Spurs but continues to contribute her wisdom and guidance as an advisor to the organization. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Tezel is a proud wife, mother of four, and grandmother. She enjoys camping, water and snow skiing, and curling up with a good book in her free time. Her unwavering dedication to pediatric care and her contributions to Little Spurs leave a lasting legacy in the field of child healthcare.
