At Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care, we value education and learning opportunities. There is nothing more important in pediatric care than to train others in how to care for children. We work with schools across the state to have their students come and learn along side us at our kid’s urgent care.

Medical Assistant Externships

If you are actively enrolled in a medical assistant program and are interested in an externship with Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care, please have your externship coordinator reach out to us.

Nurse Practitioner Preceptorships

We accept preceptorships from the following schools:

University of Texas System Schools
Texas Tech
University of the Incarnate Word

We do NOT accept preceptorships from November 15th-March 15. If your school is not on this list, we currently do not accept students from your school. Please reach out to your school’s liaison.
