Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care Earns Accreditation from the Urgent Care Association

We at Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care are excited to announce that we have recently earned the distinction of Accredited Urgent Care from the Urgent Care Association. Urgent care centers are not required to pursue this accreditation, but we decided to do so because we wanted to ensure that our centers offer the best care possible. We are now the only UCA accredited pediatric urgent care group in San Antonio and Houston.

The health care environment is changing and it is becoming more important for patients to understand their treatment options. Urgent care is a convenient and viable option for medical conditions that cannot wait for a scheduled appointment with a primary care physician. We accept unscheduled, walk-in patients during its hours of operation.

This accreditation process helped us raise the bar on the quality of care we provide, and taught us many lessons to ensure that we met the strictest of standards the Urgent Care Association sets out. With this accreditation, we and the Urgent Care Association demonstrate our commitment toward providing patients with access to quality care of the highest level.

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care first opened in 2006 in San Antonio and now has 10 locations in San Antonio and two in the Houston area.  Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is owned by a pediatrician, Thomas Spurgat, MD, MBA, who has experience in general and emergency pediatrics.
